Paris Saint-Germain may re-tochel to coach the team

Paris Saint-Germain is planning to make a stunning move for former coach Thomas Tuchel after sacking the German in 2020, as the French champions have run out of patience with Christophe Galtier after a series of poor performances since the beginning of the year

PSG had lost three of their last four matches in all competitions and were close to another defeat on Sunday but the late intervention of Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi

Their goals handed PSG a dramatic 4-3 victory over Lille that saw Galtier take to the pitch to celebrate Messi’s stoppage-time winner, but Galtier appears not to be out of reach in the eyes of the club’s hierarchy with Tuchel emerging as frontrunner for PSG’s hot seat, according to for Evening Standard

Defeat in next Sunday’s “Classic” against arch-rivals Marseille would almost certainly spell the end for Galtier, who saw his team exit the Coupe de France at the Orange Velodrome on February 8. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has maintained close contact with Tuchel since his exit from Parc. des Princes and would be open to his return

Club bosses will be willing to admit they were wrong to sack him in the first place – as did ousted sporting director Leonardo, and Tuchel and Leonardo suffered from an adversarial relationship and often used sections of the media to trade blows at each other
