De Jong's Return Date and Clásico Status

The Dutchman "Frankie De Jong" is one step away from turning the page of a long absence from the stadiums, as he has reached the final stages of his rehabilitation program based on conservative treatment, to completely get rid of the effects of tearing the inner lateral ligament of his right knee, an injury sustained during the World Cup competitions, specifically in mid-June last.
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" pointed out that the coaching staff of Barcelona has developed a gradual plan to restore the player, starting with his inclusion in training on October 5 with elements not called for international duty, before merging with the full strength of the team by October 8 immediately after the return of international players.
Despite this positive development, the presence in Group Training will not immediately open the door for De Jong to participate in official meetings, coach Hans Flick is aware of the need for a physical and technical preparation period of about two or three additional weeks to avoid any possible setback.
The Catalan team is waiting for complex and consecutive confrontations after the break, starting with Getafe on October 10, then Galatasaray on the 13th of the same month, followed by Real Betis on October 17, and signed Paris Saint-Germain on October 20.
This busy schedule culminates with the Clasico meeting against traditional rivals Real Madrid on October 25, a timing that makes the use of the Dutch star unlikely and risky, even if his name is honorably or prudently on the call-up list.
Technical and medical calculations continue to indicate that the match against Deportivo Alaves scheduled for November 1 is the optimal and logical date to see De Jong back on the grass, as this period will give him a full week of intensive training after the classic to reach the required physical readiness after a months-long absence.
